Back, neck and shoulders
Forty-five minutes for the upper body
A shorter session that stays on the back, neck and shoulders, with the rest of you covered and resting.
It suits a first visit with a lot to say, the week between longer sessions, or an afternoon with only a little time. You lie face down on a cradle for most of it and turn over at the end for the neck. Pressure is yours to set.

How it goes
Forty-five minutes, step by step
- 01
Step 1: Settle in
A short talk about pressure and anything to leave alone, then you get on the table under the sheet.
- 02
Step 2: Back and shoulders
Slow work along the back and across the shoulders, most of the session.
- 03
Step 3: Neck
You turn over for the last stretch, with the neck and the base of the skull.
Good to know
Four things to know before you come
Pressure
Light, medium or firm is your call. The upper body takes firm pressure well, so tell Fran if you'd like more.
Covered
A sheet and a blanket cover you for the whole session, and only the part being worked on is uncovered.
What to wear
Undress to your comfort, and wear whatever is easy to put back on. Leave jewelry at home or in your bag.
Ask first
If you're unsure whether massage is right for you right now, ask your doctor before you book. Fran doesn't diagnose.
Questions about this session
Do I have to undress?
You undress to your comfort. A sheet and blanket cover you, and only the part being worked on is uncovered.
Can I choose one spot to focus on?
Yes. Say so at the start and Fran will give that spot more of the session, with lighter work elsewhere.
Is forty-five minutes enough?
For the upper body, often. If you find you'd like more, add fifteen minutes when you book or on the day.
